Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) maintains all knowledge of domain-based namespaces. The DFS Namespaces role service enables you to group shared folders that are located on different servers into one or more logically structured namespaces. Namespace servers (root targets) on servers that host a DFS namespace. The DFS Namespace service implements DFS Namespaces functionality on a namespace server. It runs under the Local System context. Windows Server 2012 File Servers All Windows Computers This class is the seed class for further File Services discoveries to run on a server Contains all instances of DFS Namespaces-related entities. This class represents the replication connection between members of a replication group. Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) sites represent segments of the network with local, high speed network connections. Contains Windows-based client computer instances that have the client components of DFS installed and active, and that use DFS to access shared folders. A folder target is the UNC path of a shared folder or another namespace that is associated with a folder in a namespace. A DFS folder (link) is a virtual folder (reparse point) that lies below the namespace root and maps to one or more folder targets (link targets). A DFS namespace enables you to group shared folders that are located on different servers into one or more logically structured namespaces. A DFS namespace consists of a namespace root and the namespace servers that host the root. Below the root are DFS folders (links), which are virtual folders that point to shared folders referred to as folder targets (link targets). This class represents the File Services role on computers running Windows Server 2012. A clustered replicated folder is a replicated folder hosted by a failover cluster. The filter driver for read-only replicated folder support. A read-only replicated folder is a replicated folder on a particular member in which users cannot add or change files. This class represents the DFS Replication role service on monitored computers running Windows Server 2012. This class represents the configuration settings for the DFS Replication service on a monitored computer running Windows Server 2012. A replicated folder is a folder that stays synchronized on each member of a replication group. This class represents all replication groups to which the monitored computer belongs. This class represents a member of a replication group (a server that uses DFS Replication to synchronize files with another server). This class represents a list of volumes that store replicated folders. Deduplication (Windows Server 2012) Deduplication Volume File Classification Infrastructure (Windows Server 2012) File Server Resource Manager (Windows Server 2012) iSCSI Target Service (Windows Server 2012) NFS (Windows Server 2012) The SMB service for computers running Windows Server 2012. The SMB service for computers running Windows Server 2012 when the computer is clustered. The File Server VSS Agent service for computers running Windows Server 2012 that supports shadow copy and backup of SMB file sahres.
