This object monitors the state of synchronization between a namespace server and Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). It does this by looking for the presence of DfsSvc event 14539 in the System log in Event Viewer.
This monitor enters the Critical health state if the namespace server fails to obtain the latest namespace configuration from AD DS. This can occur if a folder in the namespace share in the local file system of the namespace server has the same name as a DFS folder (link) in the namespace.
Check if there is a folder in the namespace share (by default C:\DFSRoots\<namespace>\) that has the same name as a DFS folder in the namespace. If there is, delete the conflicting folder in the local file system.
To test communication with AD DS, use the dfsdiag /testdcs command. Confirm that all domain controllers report healthy results.
