The percent of the table cache that is currently being utilized. Table cache in MySQL Server contains file descriptors for currently opened tables. When a table cannot be found in the cache, MySQL loads the table into cache and closes the table upon process completion. Table cache size is determine by the variable ‘table_cache’. The monitor threshold is analyzed against an average of values returned in polls to the agent where the Number of Samples parameter controls the number of samples included in the calculation of the average.
An unhealthy state indicates the percentage of use for the table cache is high. The Table cache might not have enough room to hold all tables being opened.
To address high Table cache use percent modify table cache size variable ‘table_cache’.
