Resolutions

Configure the cluster network MAC address

If the network media access control (MAC) address is not in the following form xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx, where x is a hexadecimal value, it needs to be reconfigured.

To configure the network MAC address by using NLB Manager:

  • Click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then click Network Load Balancing Manager. You can also open NLB Manager by typing Nlbmgr at a command prompt.

  • If NLB Manager does not already list the cluster, connect to the cluster.

  • Right-click the cluster, and then click ClusterProperties.

  • In Network address, type the network MAC address in a valid format (xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx, where x is a hexadecimal value).
