Active Directory OU Not Found
Group Policy processing requires Active Directory. The Group Policy service reads and updates information stored in Active Directory. The absence of Active Directory (or a domain controller) prevents Group Policy from applying to the computer or user.
Correct retrieving linked Group Policy objects
The Group Policy service failed to obtain a list of Group Policy objects (GPOs) linked to an Active Directory object.
To correct retrieving a list of linked GPOs:
Find the error code displayed in the error event. The error code appears on the Details tab of the error event. The error code and error description fields may help identify the reason for the failure.
Identify if the failure happened during user or computer processing. For user policy processing, the User field of the event will show a valid user name; for computer policy processing, the User field will show "SYSTEM".
Verify permissions on the Active Directory object listed in the error event. The object should have the following attributes available with read access for the user or computer account: gPLink, gPOptions
Use Active Directory troubleshooting procedures to further diagnose the problem.
