This monitor checks for communication errors encountered by the DFS Replication service on the monitored computer when replicating with its replication partners. This monitor checks to see if a replication partner attempted to communicate with the monitored computer using an incompatible version of the replication protocol. This monitor checks to see if the DFS Replication service on the monitored computer was able to contact its replication partner. This monitor checks to see whether the DFS Replication service on the monitored computer was able to replicate with a partner and recognize the connection or the replication group configuration. This monitor checks to see if any DFS Replication connections are disabled on the monitored computer. This monitor checks to see if the DFS Replication service on the monitored computer received consistent configuration when it polled Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). This monitor checks to see if any required replication connections are missing on the monitored computer. Specifically, it checks whether incorrect one-way replication connections have been configured. DFS Replication groups configured on the monitored computer. DFS Replication group member.

Class Knowledgebase

Summary

This class represents all DFS Replication groups configured on a monitored computer. A replication group is a set of servers, known as members, which participates in the replication of one or more replicated folders. A server may belong to one or more replication groups and may replicate multiple folders with different replication partners. Settings such as connection topology, replication schedule and bandwidth throttling are configured for each replication group and apply to all replicated folders that belong to that replication group. The properties of instances of this class are set by the discovery rule “Discover replication groups on monitored computer”.

The following properties are defined for this class:

  • Replication group name.

  • Member servers belonging to the replication group.

  • Replication group GUID.

  • Member GUID.

These properties are set once the discovery rule queries the DFS Replication WMI class DfsrLocalMemberInfo to retrieve settings for the replication groups configured on the monitored computer.

Note: The replication group discovery rule may not be run unless the “Agent Proxy” setting is enabled on all monitored computers.
