Monitor Knowledgebase

Summary

This monitor checks the connection state between availability replicas. The monitor is in unhealthy state when the availability replica’s connection state is DISCONNECTED. The monitor is healthy otherwise.

Causes

This secondary replica is not connected to the primary replica. The connected state is DISCONNECTED.

  • Connection port might be conflict with other application.

  • Encryption type or algorithm is mismatching.

  • Connection endpoint is deleted or not started.

  • Transport is disconnected.

Resolutions
  • Check the database mirroring endpoint configuration of primary replica and secondary replica instances and update the mismatching configuration.

  • Check if the port is conflicting, and if so, change the port number.
