Summary

The SMB client failed to reopen a handle on behalf of an application that is registered with cluster client failover.

Causes

This can occur if the file server failed to invalidate the handle held by the previous instance of the application.

Resolutions

The application has failed to reopen its file handles and the application administrator will need to take recovery action to reestablish those handles. This could include restarting virtual machines, reattaching databases or restarting the application.
