Summary

This object watches for corruption in the list of folder targets for a DFS folder (link) and creates an alert if it finds corruption. It does so by looking for DFS Namespaces event 14543.

Causes

This can occur if DFS Namespaces finds corruption in its metadata that it cannot automatically repair.

Resolutions

To resolve this issue, delete and recreate the DFS folder using the DFS Management snap-in or the Dfsutil link remove, Dfsutil link add and Dfsutil target add commands.
