Summary

This object monitors the inbound connections for replication groups in which a replicated folder exists, and creates a Warning alert if a connection is missing. It does so by looking for the presence of DFS Replication Event 6022. Without this missing connection, data in the folder will never be updated.

Causes

An unhealthy state of this monitor indicates that a read-only replicated folder is configured without an inbound connection. This can occur if an administrator deletes the inbound connection or creates a custom replication topology without the inbound connection.

Resolutions

Add an inbound connection

To resolve this issue, create a new inbound connection. To do so, use the Dfsradmin Conn New command, or see Create a Connection (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=165781) for information about how to create a connection by using DFS Management.

Note: To create a connection, you must be a member of the Domain Admins group in the domain in which the replication group is configured, the creator of the replication group, or have been delegated permissions.

Verification

This monitor automatically resets to a healthy state when it detects an inbound connection.
