Summary

This object monitors clustered replicated folders and creates a Critical alert if it detects that a replication group contains a clustered file server instance and a node of the same failover cluster. It does so by looking for the presence of DFS Replication Event 9106. DFS Replication doesn’t support replication between a failover cluster and a node within the failover cluster.

Causes

An unhealthy state of this monitor indicates that a replication group contains a clustered file server instance and a node of the same failover cluster.

Resolutions

Remove the node or clustered file server instance

To resolve this issue, use DFS Management or the dfsradmin command to remove the node or the clustered file server instance from the replication group.

Note: Tochange the membership in a replication group, you must be a member of the Domain Admins group in the domain in which the replication group is configured, the creator of the replication group, or have been delegated permissions.

Verification

This monitor automatically resets to a healthy state after this issue is resolved.
