This object monitors whether the configuration information for a connection or replication group in the local DFS Replication database matches the information received from Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). This monitor creates a Warning alert if the connection or replication group configuration is not identical in the local database and AD DS. This object monitors communication between replication partners and creates a Warning alert if any communication errors occur. This object monitors the ability of DFS Replication to contact other members of the replication group, and creates a Warning alert if cannot reach a member of the replication group. This object monitors the replication protocol version of each member of a replication group, and generates a Warning alert if the versions are incompatible. This object monitors the replication group configuration information received from Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) and creates a Warning alert if the replication group configuration is incomplete or references an object that doesn’t exist. This object monitors connections between members of a replication group, and creates a Warning alert if any connections are disabled. This object monitors connections for a replication group and creates a Warning alert if it detects missing connections or one-way connections. This class represents all replication groups to which the monitored computer belongs. This class represents a member of a replication group (a server that uses DFS Replication to synchronize files with another server).

Class Knowledgebase

Summary

This class represents all replication groups to which the monitored computer belongs. Settings such as connection topology, replication schedule and bandwidth throttling are configured for each replication group and apply to all replicated folders that belong to that replication group.

The properties of instances of this class are set by the discovery rule Discover replication groups on monitored computer.

The following properties are defined for this class:

  • Replication group name

  • Member servers belonging to the replication group

  • Replication group GUID

  • Member GUID

These properties are set after the discovery rule queries the DFS Replication WMI class DfsrLocalMemberInfo to retrieve settings for the replication groups.

Note: The replication group discovery rule will not run unless the Agent Proxy setting is enabled on all monitored computers.
