Exchange 2007 MAPI Service Component Class

This service provides Active Directory topology information to Exchange services. If this service is stopped, most Exchange services are unable to start. This service enables this server to administer Web and FTP services. If this service is stopped, the server will be unable to run Web, FTP, NNTP, or SMTP sites or configure IIS. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start. This service manages the Microsoft Exchange Information Store.  This includes mailbox stores and public folder stores. If this service is stopped, mailbox stores and public folder stores on this computer are unavailable. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start. This service submits messages from the Mailbox server to the Hub Transport servers. This service performs background processing of mailboxes in the Exchange store. This service drives indexing of mailbox content, which improves the performance of content search. This service quickly creates full-text indexes on content and properties of structured and semi-structured data to allow fast linguistic searches on this data. This service provides a host for several Microsoft Exchange services.  This is for mailbox servers. This service forwards directory lookups to a global catalog server for legacy Outlook clients, generates e-mail addresses and offline address books, updates free/busy information for legacy clients, and maintains permissions and group memberships for the server. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start. This service provides remote search capability for Microsoft Exchange Transport log files.  This is for mailbox servers. This service provides Web connectivity and administration through the Internet Information Services Manager. Monitors Messages Queued For Submission on Mailbox servers. Monitors RPC Averaged Latency on Mailbox servers. Monitors RPC Requests Measures the Log Bytes Write Sec counter Monitors Log Generation Checkpoint Depth This monitor checks the Version Buckets Allocated performance counter on Exchange mailbox servers.
